The design for this beautiful ring is heavily influenced by the work of Archibald Knox. Before his death in 1933, he had become well known for minimizing the traditional Celtic knots to create the simple and subtle lines symbolic of the English Art Nouveau movement.

In the heart of Neolithic Orkney sits an astonishing example of prehistoric architecture. Inspired by the symbolic landscape and its links with the Winter solstice our collection, Maeshowe, has been beautifully designed to portray the legacy of our ancestors and the timeless relationship we feel between then and now. Important features from this World Heritage Site have been included to create a wonderfully unique collection; the alignment marker showing the Sun’s pathway during Winter Solstice, the Barnhouse Stone and the ring engraved with 12 points to represent 12 months.
